Theodora joined the team in 2017, newly graduated from a Master's of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. Being both an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Physiotherapist Theodora was able to bring a new dimension to the practice with a strong emphasis on exercise as part of therapy. Theodora has a keen interest in sport, football in particular, both playing and coaching at representative levels which she utilises in facilitated return to sport programs she runs at Beaman Park.
Theodora also has a keen interest in mental health having worked in the MHICU and been involved in the development of a concensus statement on the role of exercise physiology in mental health, first published in the Australasian Journal of Psychiatry. This background in mental health has allowed Theodora to approach patient care more holistically and will hopefully facilitate an increase in service uptake from those with mental health disorders in the local community.
Being a local to the Earlwood area and of greek speaking background, Theodora is able to provide a supportive and comfortable approach to treatment with Greek speaking clients. Still finding her feet in the profession, Theodora made the leap in 2018 to become a partner in the business which has seen continued success of the business and strengthened the community groundings of the practice as a mainstay of the Earlwood suburb.
